I have over 30 years of management consulting and hands-on business management experience in both large firms and small companies.  Throughout my career, I have helped organizations achieve significant improvements in operational productivity and financial performance.

After receiving my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Texas A&M University, I spent 8 years working as a management consultant for organizations in various industries that include retail, distribution, information services, shipping, health care, and state and local government. Following that experience, over a period of 11 years, I served three closely held companies in my role as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations in the computer industry, in information services, and in the field of mental heath care management. For the past 16 years, I have served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for three large regional and national law firms.

I enjoy and succeed at working with owners of closely held businesses and have the unique ability to help them achieve their business and personal goals. I serve as a change agent and develop and implement improvements in financial management and operational management processes. I have experience in strategic and operational planning, budgeting, financial management, analysis and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, facilities development, operations management, project management, organizational development, and team building. 

My newest endeavor is with The Business Group, which started in 1984 by Mike Van Horn, author of How to Grow Your Business Without Driving Yourself Crazy. Mike’s approach to serving business owners is truly unique and one that achieves a huge return on investment. With my experience, and the tools of The Business Group, I look forward to helping business owners achieve greater success. 

My wife, Eileen and I, have recently transitioned our own work/life style to the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee area after being second home owners there for the last 6 years. In 2004, I was privileged to participate in the North Lake Tahoe – Truckee Leadership Program. I am pleased to become more involved in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee community. We love to hike, ski, kayak, and sail, and we live in a great place to enjoy it all.
