Our training and certification program
We've just completed our second leader training. Two new groups launched with three more to start this spring, including Tahoe. Our next leader training program will start spring 2005 for San Francisco Bay Area leaders, with the group training held in San Rafael. We have several spaces left. We are seeking leaders for San Francisco, Walnut Creek/Concord, Santa Rosa, San Mateo, Sacramento/Modesto.
In mid-2005 we will conduct a leader training for more remote leaders, when we have our tel-online training and support tools in place.
Here's the Training Sequence
We begin with an interview and questionnaire to determine that we are right for each other.
AT-HOME TRAINING. Once we jointly decide that you are a fit, you dive into the first phase of the training at home. You receive our “bible,” The Leader’s Manual. We hold one-on-one phone consultations, plus group tele-conferences with other leader candidates. In addition to mastering our program, you work on your business vision, your financial and lifestyle goals, and see how Business Group Leadership fits into your current professional practice.
INTENSIVE TRAINING SESSIONS AT OUR OFFICE, either one-on-one or with a small group of leader candidates.
- We will work together to assess your areas of strength, train you in the use of our materials, leaders’ guides, and receive our assistance in other areas.
- You will sit in on regular group meetings, to experience the dynamic first hand.
- You will learn how to run the group and lead exercises. You will also be encouraged to create your own exercises and use outside resources to meet the needs of your members.
- We will demonstrate how to recruit and build a group as a trusted advisor, not a sales person. You will learn how to identify candidates; who makes a good member, and who does not; how to set up appointments, and move the selling process along.
- We will train you to use the “four-legged stool” for marketing outreach. We’ll focus on your marketing strengths, e.g., talking to groups or talking one-on-one
- You will create your own detailed marketing plan by targeting and profiling your desired members and your resources
CERTIFICATION
Once you have successfully completed the training, you will be ready to launch and lead your own group, as, for example, “Chris Consultant, Certified Business Group Leader.”

- Certification program, including pre-launch recruiting support: $5,000 (Payment plan available)
- Post-launch leader support: no cost, first year
